Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Red Peony LLC (Plantation, Florida, USA) collects when you visit redpeonyclub.com or buy from us, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect as little as possible and use it to run the shop and serve you. We don't sell your personal information. We disclose it only to services that help us operate the shop, as described below.

What we collect

• When you order: your name, email address and shipping address, so we can send your order and email you about it.
• When you sign up or ask to be notified: your email address (and, for "Notify me", the size you're waiting for).
• When you use our contact form: your name, email address and your message, so we can reply.
• When you browse: basic technical information that every website receives, such as your IP address and browser type, which our host uses to deliver pages and keep the site secure. If you choose "Accept all" in the cookie banner, Google Analytics also collects information about your visit (see Cookies and analytics below).

We don't create customer accounts or profiles.

Payments: handled by Stripe

All payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe: we never receive or store your full card number or security code. Stripe shares limited payment information with us, such as the card brand, the last four digits and whether the payment succeeded, so we can match payments to orders and issue refunds.

How we use your information

• to process, ship and support your order, including returns, exchanges and refunds;
• to send your receipt and updates about your order;
• to tell you when a size you asked about is back in stock;
• to send Red Peony news and offers, only if you signed up for them (you can unsubscribe at any time);
• to answer your messages;
• to keep the website and payments secure and prevent fraud;
• to keep the records that tax and other laws require.

We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Services that help us run the shop

We disclose information to these services only so they can do their job for us:

• Stripe: payments.
• Shippo and the postal service (USPS): your name and address, to print the shipping label and deliver your order.
• Cloudflare: hosts this website, keeps it secure, and stores sign-ups and contact messages.
• Our email provider: delivers contact-form messages to us and our emails to you.
• Google Analytics: only if you choose "Accept all" in the cookie banner (see below).

Cookies and analytics

When you first visit, we ask how you'd like to handle cookies. Necessary only keeps the shop working (your bag, your shipping country and your cookie choice, all stored in your own browser). Accept all also turns on Google Analytics.

Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, how you arrived (for example from a search or a link), your device and browser type, and your approximate location. Google receives your IP address to do this. We use the reports only to understand which pages are useful and improve the shop; they don't tell us who you are. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

We don't use advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.

How long we keep it

• Orders: for as long as we need them to fulfil the order and handle returns, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
• Sign-ups and "Notify me" requests: until you unsubscribe, the size is back and we've told you, or you ask us to delete them.
• Contact messages: for as long as we need them to answer you and handle any follow-up.
• Analytics: Google Analytics keeps visit data for a limited period, set in our Analytics settings, after which it is deleted automatically.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop emailing you, at any time. Just send us a message through our contact form. If you ask us to delete your information, we'll do so, except for order records we must keep for tax or other legal reasons; those we keep only for as long as required.

Children

Our shop is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update it on this page and change the date at the top. Changes apply from that date.
